Administrative Units


  1. Director of the President’s Office (First class - Administrative Development)

 

  • Monitoring and following up work in the vice president’s office
  • Following up issues across departments.
  • Presenting official letters and paper work and postage to the Vice President and addressing the different faculties at university.

 

  1. Director of Communication and Conference Management Department: (First Class - Administrative Development).

 

Terms of Reference

  • Opening new channels of communication between the university and the community and seeking new avenues of cooperation.
  • Coordinating with the competent authorities within the University Print Shops to prepare memoranda of agreement with other parties.
  • Holding conferences and seminars in partnership with different parties on various issues that highlight the role of the university in community service and environmental development, and preparing follow-up reports.
  • Coordinating between colleges and units of the University with regard to seminars and conferences to avoid duplication.
  • Recording recommendations, ideas and suggestions issued by conferences and symposia that are held at university in the field of community service and environmental development, and disseminating the records through media and other pertinent authorities.
  • Preparing a database on the services provided by the university through its different units.
  • Preparing a database on the protocols and conventions held by University.
  • Following up administrative tasks assigned and making maximum use of current possibilities in carrying out those tasks.

 

  1. Director General of Community Service and Environmental Development: (Senior Management Group)

Engineer/ Eskender Georgy Eskender

 

Terms of Reference

  • Following up and carrying out specific, technical and vocational plans and programs targeted at serving community and environmental development.
  • Coordinating with scientific and technical departments and special units in the fields of community service and environmental development and preparing reports to be submitted to Vice President and council of Community Service and Environmental Development, and the University Council.
  • Supervising the implementation of decisions taken by the President and Vice President of University for community service and environmental development, preparing periodic reports and following up performance evaluation.
  • Supervising the process of preparing decisions, regulations and systems that serve the purposes and mechanisms of special units and centers.
  • Preparing analytic studies that promote cultural, intellectual, social, industrial and agricultural development in the fields of community service and environmental development and collaborating with local bodies in putting these studies into practice.
  • Supervising the development of research studies and data analyses that are researcher-oriented.
  • Supervising the process of reviewing relevant administrative divisions to ensure the validity of work procedures.
  • Participating in studying the public policy of organizing conferences, seminars and lectures.
  • Supervising special plans and programs pertinent to organizing conferences, seminars and lectures aimed at serving the community
  • Supervising the university's informational role nationally and abroad with regard to community service and environmental development avenues
  • Supervising external and internal communications between the university units and other pertinent units
  • Supervising the implementation of periodic laws, decisions and internal regulations governing the work of the unit and facilitating the achievement of outcomes.

 (A) Monitoring and evaluating performance of special units

Director: (Mr. Mohamed Mohamed Kamal Khider)

Terms of reference

  • Monitoring the implementation of periodic laws, decisions and internal regulations governing the work of the unit and facilitating the achievement of outcomes.
  • Following up outcomes of the administrative and financial procedures of special units, preparing periodic reports and taking necessary actions.
  • Evaluating the performance of special units in light of plans, programs and policies that help achieve the university goals in terms of community service and environmental development
  • Submitting the performance evaluation reports to those in charge to be addressed to pertinent authorities
  • Proposing functional options that are necessary for operational needs
  • Performing relevant tasks assigned

 

(B) Managing university facilities for non-students

Acting Directors: Dalia –Heba Elzalakie

 

Terms of reference

  • Monitoring the implementation of plans and programs of work on the university facilities for non-students and the application of internal rules and regulations in this respect.
  • Monitoring the achievement of the university goals with regard to designing facilities for non-students (e.g. University Guest House)
  • Fostering the organizational relationship between these facilities and specialized authorities
  • Preparing periodic reports on plans of action and achievements to achieve the purposes of university facilities for non-students.

 

  1. General Administration of Environmental Projects (Senior Management Group)

 

Terms of reference:

  • Conducting analytic studies necessary for identifying topics of the applied research project plans proposed by University to serve environmental development purposes.
  • Cooperating with university specialists responsible for preparing the plans necessary to put the general policy into action.
  • Developing operational plans pertinent to environmental projects and financial, social, political and social rules for implementing them
  • Developing executive programs to achieve the University's plans for environmental development and community service in various fields
  • Developing systems for monitoring the progress of various applied research projects and ensuring the achievement of outcomes
  • Coordinating between the University faculties with regard to forming a work  team for implementing and following up research projects  

 

Affiliate departments

 (A) Planning programs and implementing environmental projects.

 

Terms of reference

  • Conducting analytic studies necessary for identifying topics of the applied research project plans proposed by University to serve environmental development purposes.
  • Collaborating with pertinent authorities in developing general policies and action plans.  
  • Implementing action plans for environmental development in industrial, agricultural, human and social fields
  • Developing executive programs necessary to achieve the University's environmental development plans and cooperating with pertinent authorities at university in this respect
  • Taking decisions and measures necessary for executing plans and programs, providing clarifications and modifications, and preparing governing rules to ensure sound implementation of plans
  • Receiving reports from executive officials at different university departments, collecting and analyzing follow-up data, comparing data to work plans and reporting thereon.
  • Performing relevant tasks assigned

 

(B) Monitoring applied research projects

 

Terms of reference

  • Conducting analytic studies for translating environmental development plans and programs into research projects and applying pertinent recommendations in coordination with university faculties
  • Providing adequate information from external-environment sources for community-based research purposes
  • Facilitating participation of faculty members in applied research project activities and providing facilities and resources necessary for carrying out these activities
  • Discussing applied research project proposals with local environmental organizations in preparation for presenting them to specialized authorities.
  • Following up developments, innovations and projects that can be utilized or developed for community service and environmental development purposes
  • Performing relevant tasks assigned
