Damietta university wins the STDF grant

      At the end of 2019 , the efforts of the university and its scientists will continue, Professor  Dr. El Sayed Mohamad Dadour the president of the university congratulated all university employees on the occasion of the university winning a grant to complete a project and purchase equipment of 10 million pounds within Capacity Building Grants projects from the Science and Technology Development Fund at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The President of the university extended all thanks and appreciation to the main researcher of the project, Professor  Dr. Hemdan Rabei, - the vice president for Postgraduate Studies and Research and the associate team, Dr. Yossr Ezz Al Regal – the vice dean of the  faculty of Archeology for Community Service and Environmental Development , Dr.Nabil Saeed, - the director of the Quality Assurance Unit, Faculty of Archeology and Dr. Mohamad Abd Al Bar- the , supervisor of the Department of Restoration and Maintenance of Antiquities . By obtaining this grant, the Faculty of Archeology will be able to establish one of the most recent antiquities laboratories in the region and equip it with the latest devices , such as the scanning electronic microscope with the EDX unit (SEM with EDX unit). In addition to the scientific research services in the field of archeology, this lab will serve the Faculties of Science, Engineering, Agriculture, and Nursing, and later the Faculty of Medicine, once established.
