 The Central Administration of Missions announces scholarships for collecting scientific material required for master’s studies. The scholarship duration ranges from three to five months.

Application Requirements

  • The applicant must be an Egyptian national and employed by one of the entities included in the mission’s plan.
  • The applicant must have at least one year of service at their workplace.
  • The applicant must not be older than 30 years at the start date of the announcement.
  • Registration for a master’s degree is a travel prerequisite. If already registered, the registration period must not exceed one year at the start date of the announcement.
  • The applicant must have completed military service or have been exempted.

Scholarship Details

The Slovak side provides the following benefits to Egyptian students who receive these scholarships:

  • Scholarship duration: 3 to 5 months.
  • These scholarships are intended for postgraduate studies (for those preparing a Master’s thesis).
  • A monthly allowance of €400.
  • Exemption from tuition fees, in addition to living expenses covered through a monthly stipend.
  • Travel allowance, provided upon request along with the scholarship application. The travel allowance is granted as a lump sum and paid to the scholarship holder at the end of their stay. The amount depends on the direct distance between the applicant’s place of residence and their place of stay in Slovakia.
  • The Missions Sector shall cover (in cases not covered by another entity) the completion of the scholarship amount provided by the Slovak side, in accordance with the executive program, as well as round-trip airfare, in accordance with the financial regulations of missions. This applies only to candidates selected through the Central Administration of Missions. Applicants who apply independently are not eligible for funding from the Missions Sector.
  • The Missions Sector does not cover any family expenses, in accordance with the decision of the Executive Committee of Missions dated 23/8/2017 and amended on 19/11/2017.

Required Documents

  • Two (2) copies of the Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  • An Arabic data form certified by the employer.
  • A preliminary acceptance letter from a supervising professor at one of the educational universities in Slovakia.
  • A letter from the employer addressed to the Missions Sector approving the applicant’s nomination for the scholarship.
  • A letter from the employer stating that the applicant has not been nominated for any other scholarship or mission and confirming submission of security clearance forms for travel approval.
  • The original language proficiency certificate showing:
    • TOEFL iBT score of 80, or
    • IELTS score of 5.5,
      unless a higher score is required by the granting authority.
      (Language test receipts are not accepted; the original certificate must be submitted.)
  • A certified English copy of the Bachelor’s degree certificate and academic transcripts.
  • Two (2) letters of recommendation from professors.
  • Two (2) copies of a passport valid for at least three years.
  • One passport-size photo (3.5 cm × 4 cm).
  • A completed and certified copy of the scholarship application form, downloaded from the official Slovak website after applying through the following links, which also provide full details of requirements and documents:
