  The Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector (Central Administration of Missions), in cooperation with the French Embassy in Cairo, announces the availability of 20 jointly funded scholarships by the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the French Republic for PhD students for the 2025/2026 academic year, as follows:

  • Six-month scholarships to conduct PhD research
  • Twelve-month scholarships for PhD research under a joint supervision (cotutelle) system, divided into two periods of six months each, according to research needs
  • Eighteen-month scholarships under the joint supervision (cotutelle) system, divided into three periods of six months each, according to research needs

The National Program for Research and Innovation in Health and Biomedical Sciences

  The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) announces the launch of the 2026 cycle of the PRISM Program, starting on February 1, 2026.

The program aims to support research and innovation projects that contribute to the development of the healthcare system and accelerate the translation of laboratory outputs into medical and economic applications with real impact.

Available Funding Tracks:

The program provides distinguished financial support through three specialized tracks:

  • Track 1 (Inno-Health): Supporting health innovation and prototype development.
  • Track 2 (CRS): Dedicated to high-quality Clinical Research.
  • Track 3 (TRANS-B2B): Supporting translational research from the laboratory to the patient.

National Priority Areas:

Joint Postdoctoral Fellowship Program 2026

         Applications are now open for the 2026 Joint Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, offered by the Centre for Science and Technology of the Non-Aligned and Other Developing Countries (NAM S&T Centre) in cooperation with State University of Malang, Indonesia, within the framework of enhancing international scientific cooperation and supporting Egyptian researchers.

The NAM S&T Centre will cover the travel expenses for five selected candidates, while State University of Malang will provide a monthly stipend of 15 million Indonesian Rupiah (approximately USD 900) for the duration of the fellowship. In addition, the university will cover internal transportation costs from Surabaya Airport to the university and assist in providing accommodation in accordance with applicable regulations. The fellowship duration is 12 weeks.

The submitted research proposal must align with one or more of the following United Nations goals:

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

• Zero Hunger
• Good Health and Well-being
• Quality Education
• Affordable and Clean Energy
• Decent Work and Economic Growth

The scholarships of the Alliance of International Scientific Organizations ,ANSO

  The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology announce the opening of applications for the prestigious CAS-ANSO Scholarships to obtain Master’s and PhD degrees at top universities and institutes affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

This scholarship comes within the framework of a strategic partnership with the ANSO Alliance, and aims to support outstanding researchers who wish to pursue their master’s and PhD studies at:

  • University of Science and Technology of China (USTC)
  • University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS)
  • Research institutes affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences across China

The scholarship supports 100 to 200 Master’s students and 300 international PhD students across various advanced scientific and research fields.

The University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) offers 78 Master’s programs and 89 PhD programs in mathematics, physics, chemistry, materials science and engineering, electronic engineering, electronic science and technology, geophysics, environmental science and engineering, and others. Most PhD programs, as well as some Master’s programs, are taught in English.

Students receive a graduation certificate and a master’s or PhD degree after fulfilling the graduation requirements, which include completing the required credit hours, preparing the thesis/dissertation, and successfully defending it. Master’s studies at USTC usually take 2 to 3 years, while PhD studies take 3 to 4 years.

The Educational Scholarship of the Late Dr. Ali Moselhi

       The Council of Private Universities announces the offering of several educational scholarships funded by the General Authority of Nasser Social Bank, under the "Late Dr. Ali Moselhy Educational Scholarship", for the second semester of the academic year 2025/2026, provided that the applicant demonstrates social and financial need. The scholarship is available to students at public schools, experimental schools, or their equivalents, including STEM schools and Nile Schools, from the first round of the 2024/2025 academic year.

The scholarship covers all tuition fees, and the university the student joins will provide appropriate student housing, including meals, similar to university dormitories, free of charge.

The scholarship allows study in various specializations that match the most in-demand fields in the labor market, including:
(Medicine, Nursing, Veterinary Medicine, Health Sciences Technology, Computers and Information & Artificial Intelligence, Agriculture, Tourism, Arts and Design, Al-Alsun “Languages”)
at the following universities:

Special Conditions for Students Applying for the Scholarship:

  • The applicant must be an Egyptian citizen and residing in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
  • The applicant must have obtained the General Secondary Certificate from public schools, experimental schools, or their equivalents, including STEM schools and Nile Schools, from the first round of the academic year 2024/2025.
  • The applicant must have obtained an outstanding grade in secondary school, equivalent to no more than 3% below the minimum acceptance score of the corresponding faculty in public universities, according to the officially announced coordination for that year.
  • The applicant must fulfill the admission requirements of the faculty/program he or she is applying to.
  • The applicant must submit a Personal Statement explaining their motivation for learning and the skills they expect to acquire from studying in the program.
  • The student must maintain an overall grade of "Very Good" or an equivalent GPA throughout the years of study and must not apply for transfer from the nominated university during the years following acceptance of the scholarship.
  • The student must sign a declaration agreeing to the terms, responsibilities, and obligations during the study period and after graduation, and agreeing to repay the scholarship value in case of violating any of its conditions. The declaration must be submitted in two originals (one for each party).

Social Eligibility Conditions (Priority Will Be Given to the Following Categories):

  • Students from the most disadvantaged governorates.
  • Students whose families receive Takaful and Karama pension.
  • Students who are residents of social care institutions.
  • Students from low-income families who cannot afford tuition fees, supported by official documents such as:
    • Bank statement for the last year
    • Income statements for father and mother (salary or pension)
    • Family registration document
    • Rental contract
    • Copies of utility bills for the last 6 months

Additional Note:

Students who are already enrolled in national (private) universities and have paid the tuition fees for the first semester are entitled, if they receive the scholarship, to:

  • Continue their studies in the second semester in the same faculty at one of the universities included in the scholarship, or
  • Apply to study in a new faculty if they meet the conditions (social eligibility), and
  • Recover all paid tuition fees in full without any deduction upon receiving the scholarship.

Proposals for Mobility Projects

The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology has announced the opening of the call for research proposals for Mobility Projects, in preparation for their inclusion in the program for the years 2027–2028.

This comes within the framework of activating the Egyptian–French Scientific Cooperation Program “Imhotep”, which is implemented between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology is responsible for the administrative management of the program on the Egyptian side, while the French agency Campus France handles the administrative tasks on the French side.

  • Water: wastewater, desalination, irrigation
  • Environment: new and renewable energy, hydrogen fuel cells, electric vehicle batteries
  • Health, Biology, and Pharmaceuticals: use of biotechnology for enzyme production, advanced diagnostic techniques for Hepatitis C

Competitive scholarships from (Temps Authority) for Master's level

The Central Administration of Scholarships announces the availability of Master’s scholarships offered by the Government of Hungary to obtain a master’s degree in any of the following disciplines and fields: Mathematics, Physics, Information Technology, Technological Education, as well as any other fields of interest, including Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy.

Eligibility Conditions:

  • The applicant must be of Egyptian nationality.
  • The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree.
  • Assistant staff members at Egyptian universities or research centers.
  • Administrative staff in government institutions are included in the official scholarship plan.
  • Students who previously obtained their bachelor’s degree under the same scholarship, and Egyptian citizens who are not assistant staff members and do not have an employer in Egypt (at their own expense, without financial support from the Missions Department).

Scholarship Details Provided by the Hungarian Side:

  • Tuition-free study
  • Accommodation in university dormitories
  • Access to basic healthcare services
  • Monthly stipend (according to the regulations in Hungary)
  • The scholarship does not cover international travel expenses (round-trip).

The Missions Department shall cover, when not covered by another entity, for Master’s students (assistant staff and administrative staff included in the scholarship plan), the completion of the scholarship value provided by the Hungarian side, as well as round-trip travel tickets, in accordance with the executive program and the financial regulations of the Missions Department.
