The University President welcomed the President of the Japanese Kyoto Kagaku Company

          Today, February 5, 2024, Prof./ Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, welcomed Mr. Toshi Takayama, President of the Japanese company Kyoto Kagaku, which manufactures educational medical models and simulators, and an accompanying delegation that included Mr. Takao Kinouchi and Mr. Shi Dongyang, to discuss ways of cooperation between the two sides, in the presence of Professor Dr. Wael Farouk Al-Taybani, Vice President of the university for Education and Student Affairs Professor Dr. Muhammad Amasha, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, Professor Dr. Wael Abdel Qader, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, Professor Dr. Ghada Mohamad Al-Sayad, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts, Professor Dr. Bassem Salama Al-Deek, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Professor Dr. Mohamad Al-Farash, Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at the Faculty of Medicine, and Dr. Haitham Al-Hadidy, Head of the Industrial Design Department at the College of Applied Arts. The meeting included discussing current projects and reviewing future cooperation methods with the university through the company’s services, which include products of simulators for training in surgical skills, ear, nose and throat, ophthalmology, anesthesia, obstetrics, and gynecology, orthopedics, radiology, endoscopy, nursing, virtual reality, computer simulators for laparoscopic surgery, annealed human specimens, anatomical models, and programs. The delegation visited the virtual laboratory at the College of Computing and Artificial Intelligence, and then the clinical skills laboratories at the College of Medicine, Prof. Nasra Ayoub, Vice Dean of the College of Medicine for Student Affairs, provided a comprehensive explanation of all the existing models and the unique and diverse way of using them, which the Japanese delegation praised and that they are similar to their medical colleges. For its part, the delegation explained some of their new models to be used in the fourth and fifth levels.
