The Science, Technology & Innovation Funding Authority (STDF) announces the opening of applications for the first call of the BRICS 2025 Innovation Project Funding Program, which aims to support multilateral innovative projects that promote international collaboration between researchers and academic and industrial institutions. The program seeks to transform scientific research outcomes into marketable products and services, contributing to economic and social development in BRICS countries.
Projects must consist of a consortium including at least two partners from different BRICS countries, whether from academic or industrial institutions. These projects should be based on technology that has already been validated in a laboratory or relevant environment, with a focus on progressing toward commercial application. Expected outcomes should include a prototype or a system tested in an operational environment.
STDF will support the Egyptian research proposal with funding of up to 10 million EGP per project, covering research team expenses, equipment, patents, prototypes, scientific publications, as well as events and travel. The funded project duration may extend up to three years.

The international joint team must submit the Joint Application Form (JAF) no later than 5 November 2025 at 3:00 PM (Moscow Time, UTC+3) through the online submission platform:

The Egyptian Principal Investigator must also submit the JAF, the research proposal, and all required documents no later than 12 November 2025 through the STDF website:
