Call for Applications for the “Dr. Mohamed Rabie Nasser Award for Scientific Research” – 9th Edition, 2026

The Scientific Committee of the Dr. Mohamed Rabie Nasser Award for Scientific Research announces the opening of applications for the Award’s 9th edition for the year 2026, targeting researchers in Egypt and across the Arab world.

The award is granted in recognition of outstanding scientific achievements and in support of Egyptian and Arab researchers whose impactful research has contributed to enriching human knowledge and providing innovative scientific solutions to contemporary challenges.

Award Categories:

First: Dr. Mohamed Rabie Nasser Award for Scientific Research in Medical and Health Sciences
Award Value: EGP 250,000 (Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Egyptian Pounds) and a certificate of appreciation.

Second: Dr. Mohamed Rabie Nasser Award for Scientific Research in Engineering and Technological Sciences
Award Value: EGP 200,000 (Two Hundred Thousand Egyptian Pounds) and a certificate of appreciation.

Third: Dr. Mohamed Rabie Nasser Award for Scientific Research in the Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Education and Healthcare
Award Value: EGP 200,000 (Two Hundred Thousand Egyptian Pounds) and a certificate of appreciation.

Fourth: Dr. Mohamed Rabie Nasser Award for Scientific Research in Water, Agriculture, Food Security, and Environmental Sustainability
Award Value: EGP 200,000 (Two Hundred Thousand Egyptian Pounds) and a certificate of appreciation.

Fifth: Dr. Mohamed Rabie Nasser Award for Scientific Research in New and Renewable Energy
Award Value: EGP 200,000 (Two Hundred Thousand Egyptian Pounds) and a certificate of appreciation.

Sixth: Dr. Mohamed Rabie Nasser Award for Scientific Research in Advanced Materials Science and Nanotechnology Applications
Award Value: EGP 200,000 (Two Hundred Thousand Egyptian Pounds) and a certificate of appreciation.

Seventh: Dr. Mohamed Rabie Nasser Award for Scientific Research in Humanities and Social Sciences with Societal Impact in Line with Sustainable Development Requirements
Award Value: EGP 200,000 (Two Hundred Thousand Egyptian Pounds) and a certificate of appreciation.

General Eligibility Requirements:

• The award is open to scientists and researchers from the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Arab world, whether affiliated with higher education institutions, research centers, or other organizations and entities.

• Applicants must have distinguished applied scientific output serving the community, published in internationally indexed scientific journals, contributing to fields such as human health, new and renewable energy, advanced materials science, engineering and technological sciences, humanities and social sciences, and artificial intelligence applications in education and healthcare. The research may also support the green economy, strengthen food security, contribute to environmental sustainability, and provide innovative solutions to societal challenges.

• Applicants must not have received another award or academic degree for the same scientific work from any granting body during the five years preceding the announcement of the award.

• Applicants may not apply for more than one award category in the same cycle, and previous winners of the award are not eligible to apply again.
