On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, the Education and Student Affairs Council held its 175th session, chaired by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdo Amasha – Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, at the university’s general administration headquarters, and attended by the vice deans of the faculties for education and student affairs.
At the beginning of the session, His Excellency welcomed the council members and reviewed the directives of Prof. Dr. Hamdan Rabie El-Metwally – President of the University – who emphasized the importance of thorough preparation for the new academic year and the need to welcome new students in a manner befitting the university’s reputation. Preparations for organizing the welcome ceremony for new university students, scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 21, 2025, were confirmed, ensuring it reflects the university’s esteem and hospitality for its new students.
The council also discussed mechanisms for monitoring the regularity of the educational process at the beginning of the new academic year, confirming the readiness of faculties in terms of lecture halls, laboratories, and the provision of all necessary study requirements.
His Excellency stressed the importance of overcoming any obstacles students may face and providing full support and care from the very first day of study, to ensure an outstanding academic environment that fosters excellence and creativity.
He also affirmed the importance of student activities, considering them a key pillar in shaping students’ personalities and developing their talents. He emphasized the need for these activities to commence from the start of the academic year to enhance students’ sense of belonging and encourage active participation within the university.
At the end of the session, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdo Amasha expressed his gratitude to the vice deans for their ongoing efforts, stressing the importance of cooperation and teamwork to achieve the university’s mission and goals.
