Egyptian Consul General in Jeddah Receives the President of Damietta University and Affirms Support for Egyptian Educational Efforts in the Kingdom

Mr. Ahmed Abdel-Meguid, the Egyptian Consul General in Jeddah, received Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie El-Metwally, President of Damietta University, at the headquarters of the Egyptian Consulate in Jeddah. The meeting coincided with the university’s participation in the 18th Gulf Education and Training Exhibition, held in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The meeting discussed ways to strengthen academic and cultural cooperation between Egyptian and Saudi universities, and to support the presence of Egyptian educational institutions in international events, thereby enhancing the regional and global standing of Egyptian education.

The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Mohamed Hussein, President of Tanta University; Professor Dr. Ahmed Saeed Faheem Mansour, the Egyptian Cultural and Educational Attaché in Saudi Arabia; and Professor Mohamed Saleh Hashem, President of Sadat Academy for Management Sciences.

Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie El-Metwally expressed his gratitude for the warm reception, noting that the meeting reflects the deep fraternal relations between the Egyptian and Saudi peoples and the important role of the Egyptian Consulate in supporting Egyptian universities and educational institutions participating in international events in the Kingdom.

He added that Damietta University, through its participation in the exhibition, seeks to strengthen its regional presence, engage with distinguished academic experiences, and promote its modern programs across various disciplines — contributing to the attraction of international students and the deepening of academic cooperation with educational institutions in Saudi Arabia.

He also extended his thanks to the Consul General for his continuous support and assistance to the delegations of Egyptian universities participating in the exhibition.
