Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie El-Metwally, President of the University, attended on Sunday, November 2, 2025, a presentation on PraxiLabs virtual laboratories—one of the most advanced interactive educational systems for teaching basic sciences (chemistry, physics, and biology). The system aims to support the educational process and strengthen students’ practical skills across scientific faculties.

The presentation was attended by Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdo Amasha, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Professor Dr. Ramadan El-Tantawy, former President of Damietta University; along with several deans, vice-deans, and faculty members. The national developer of the platform delivered a detailed demonstration outlining how the virtual labs operate and how they can be integrated into the learning process to provide a highly accurate and effective simulation environment that closely replicates real laboratories.

During the session, the importance of virtual laboratories was highlighted, particularly in light of the rapid technological advancements in the education sector and their role in overcoming the challenges of traditional labs, such as limited time, high experiment costs, and the safety risks associated with handling chemicals.
