Damietta University Concludes Its Participation on the Third Day of the International Higher Education Exhibition in Sweden

Damietta University, under the leadership of Professor  Dr. Hemdan Rabie Metwally, President of the University, continues to affirm its active presence on the international academic stage through its participation in the International Higher Education Conference and Exhibition, held in Gothenburg, Sweden. The event, organized by the European Association for International Education (EAIE) in its 35th edition, runs from September 9 to 12, with the participation of more than 250 prestigious international universities.

The conclusion of the third day witnessed intensive activities by the University President and Professor Dr. Mohamed Omran Wadi, Director of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Center, who held a series of fruitful meetings with representatives of leading European and Asian universities. These discussions focused on opportunities for cooperation in academic programs and joint research projects, aiming to further enhance Damietta University’s position on the global education map.

Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Metwally emphasized that this participation aligns with Egypt’s Higher Education and Scientific Research Strategy 2030, highlighting that the exhibition represents a prestigious international platform to showcase the academic and research advancements achieved by Egyptian universities.

The University President praised the outstanding organization of such international events, stressing that they open broad horizons for Egyptian universities to foster cooperation and exchange expertise with peers worldwide. He also extended his gratitude and appreciation to Professor Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, for his continuous support and commitment to ensuring a strong presence of Egyptian universities in such global forums, thereby strengthening their international standing and competitiveness.

He further noted that Damietta University’s pavilion attracted significant attention from visitors and stakeholders, who praised the university’s academic programs and educational services—reflecting the growing reputation of Egyptian universities on the international stage.

Looking ahead, Damietta University aspires to translate these meetings into practical agreements and partnerships in the near future, thereby supporting its academic and research journey and consolidating its global presence.
