The University President and the Military Advisor Inaugurate the National Education Course for Female Students at the Faculty of Specific Education.

As part of efforts to promote values of belonging and national awareness among female students, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie El-Metwally, President of Damietta University, and Brigadier General Mohamed Khalifa, Military Advisor for Damietta Governorate, inaugurated on Sunday, October 19, 2025, the National Education Course for first- and second-year female students at the Faculty of Specific Education.

The course was organized by the university in cooperation with the Popular and Military Defense Forces, under the leadership of Colonel Ibrahim Mohamed Basla, Director of the Military Education Department at the university. It aims to raise students’ awareness of the dangers of fourth and fifth-generation warfare and their impact on societal stability through modern means.

The opening ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdo Amasha, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs and Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, Colonel Ibrahim Basla, Colonel Tamer Khalaf, the faculty’s vice deans, academic staff members, and students.

The program began with the opening of an art exhibition showcasing the students’ creative works, which included paintings depicting the epic victory of the glorious October War and highlighting the heroism of the Egyptian Armed Forces.

In his welcoming remarks, Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdo Amasha expressed his delight at the students’ participation in these national events, affirming the university’s commitment to integrating national awareness into student activities, fostering a sense of belonging and responsibility among youth, and praising the ongoing cooperation with the Popular and Military Defense Forces in implementing such programs.

During his speech, the Military Advisor of the Governorate congratulated the students on the anniversary of the glorious October victories, delivering an awareness message about the importance of verifying information sources and the dangers of rumors circulating on social media. He emphasized the need to rely on official sources and avoid being influenced by attempts to spread division.

For his part, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie El-Metwally expressed his appreciation for the fruitful cooperation with the Armed Forces in organizing this course, congratulating the students for their commitment and distinguished participation. He underscored the importance of belonging to national institutions and the state’s comprehensive care for its citizens.

The University President also praised the organization of National Education Courses for female students, considering them a valuable opportunity to enhance understanding of national developments at home and abroad. He also highlighted the historical role of Egyptian women throughout the ages in state-building and commended the political leadership’s support for women’s empowerment and protection of their rights.
