          The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) Announces the Opening of Applications for the National Program for Research and Innovation in Health and Biomedical Sciences (PRISM) – 2026 Cycle

As part of implementing the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in recognition of the importance of transforming scientific research into tangible outcomes that serve the health of Egyptian citizens, the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) announces the launch of the new PRISM 2026 cycle, starting from February 1, 2026.

The program aims to support research and innovation projects that contribute to developing the healthcare system and accelerating the translation of laboratory outputs into medical and economic applications with real impact.

Available Funding Tracks

The program provides distinguished financial support through three specialized tracks:

  • Track 1 (Inno-Health): Supporting health innovation and prototype development.

  • Track 2 (CRS): Dedicated to high-quality clinical research.

  • Track 3 (TRANS-B2B): Supporting translational research from the laboratory to the patient.

National Priority Areas

In this cycle, the program focuses on addressing major health challenges, with emphasis on:

  • Oncology (Cancer)

  • Obesity and Metabolic Health

  • Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)

  • Digital Health Technologies, Artificial Intelligence, and Medical Technology
