 The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology announces a call for proposals to strengthen science-policy linkages in Asia.

As part of its efforts to support communication between the scientific community and decision-makers, the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the "Seeds of Science – Asia" program. This initiative is launched by the Asia-Pacific Regional Focal Point for Science of the International Science Council, in collaboration with the International Network for Government Science Advice – Asia.

 Program Objective:
The program aims to empower scientists, researchers, academics, and practitioners in the Asia-Pacific region to share their knowledge and expertise with the scientific community and policy-makers in their respective countries.

 Funding Opportunity:
The program offers grants of up to 9,500 AUD to support workshops or proposed activities that enhance scientific engagement and communication.

 Within the framework of the scientific cooperation protocol between the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the Academy announces the acceptance of research proposals for the years 2026–2028, in accordance with the following terms and requirements:

Fields of cooperation for this call:

• Microbiology
• Agricultural Informatics
• Agriculture and Crop Sciences
• Plant Protection
• Animal Breeding
• Clean Energy

Project duration: 36 months.

Funding allocated for each project: EGP 900,000 (EGP 450,000 per year).

Both the Egyptian and Chinese researchers must submit their research proposals within the same announcement timeframe, each on the official website of their respective institutions.

Researchers are invited to submit proposals for joint research projects in collaboration with scientists and researchers from JINR in the fields of nuclear research and its peaceful applications. Proposed projects should align with the priorities of Egypt's Vision 2030.

      Damietta University has achieved a new accomplishment in its academic career. As it advanced in the US News World Rankings for 2025, It ranked 1,322nd globally, up from 1,408th in last year's ranking, thus achieving a jump of 86 places among global universities. On the African level, Damietta University ranked 66th among African universities, advancing 20 places from the previous year's ranking, when it ranked 86th, reflecting the remarkable development in its academic and research performance. The US News ranking is based on several indicators and criteria, including: the quality of education and scientific research, academic reputation, graduates' transition to the job market, as well as other indicators that reflect universities' academic and research performance. This significant progress reflects Damietta University's ongoing efforts to improve the quality of education, support scientific research, and develop academic programs, all within the framework of its ambitious vision to enhance its regional and international standing and effectively contribute to raising the level of higher education in Egypt and Africa.        The Science, Technology & Innovation Funding Authority (STDF) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the Egypt-Japan Joint Scientific Cooperation Program – Call No. 17.

The purpose of this program is to establish new collaborations in areas of mutual interest. Additionally, the program will promote scientific exchange visits between Egyptian and Japanese researchers and support the joint organization of symposia, paving the way for long-term partnerships.

This activity supports bilateral mobility of scientists within the framework of a joint research project lasting two years. The goal of these projects is to establish new collaborations or enhance existing partnerships in the following areas:
