The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) announces the launch of the third call (2026) of the RESPECT Programme, running from 1 January to 15 March 2026. The programme serves as a support mechanism for senior Egyptian scientists who have received international or national awards (Encouragement or Excellence) or prestigious research fellowships from well-known global institutions such as Humboldt, Alexander von L’Oréal, UNESCO, ICGEB, Fulbright, DFG, DAAD, IDB, and others, enabling them to carry out advanced research projects in key areas of national priority.
The programme also allows the participation of promising early-career researchers, including PhD candidates and early postdoctoral researchers, within the research teams.

A formal approval letter from the Egyptian host research institution must be attached with the proposal.

Accepted proposals will be announced on the Academy’s website, and applicants will be notified via email.

Original project documents must be completed within three months of the result announcement to finalize funding procedures.

The Principal Investigator (PI) and the alternate team must belong to the same university or research center, while other team members may belong to different institutions.

Accredited private universities in Egypt are eligible to apply on an equal footing with public universities.
