The 66th educational symposium for the Popular and Military Defense Forces at Damietta University

         Today, May 21, 2024, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, and Major General Walid Hamid Al-Hamaky, Commander of the Popular and Military Defense Forces, witnessed the sixty-sixth educational symposium organized by the Popular and Military Defense Forces in the Farouk Shousha Hall at Damietta University under the title “Loyalty and Belonging,” within the framework of the keenness of the General Command of the Forces Armed Forces aims to develop the spirit of loyalty and belonging among the youth of Egyptian universities and institutes. This came in the presence of Dr. Islam Ibrahim, Deputy Governor of Damietta, Professor Dr. Mohamad Abdo Amasha, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Colonel Fathy Nageeb Kaoud, Director of the Military Education Department at the University, Engineer Mahmoud Noman, Vice President of the New Damietta City Reconstruction Authority, and a group of popular and executive leaders in the governorate and representatives of Al-Azhar. And the church, gentlemen, deans and deans of the university’sThe symposium activities, presented by Professor Dr. Mohamad Maher, Head of the Arabic Language Department at the College of Arts, began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an in the voice of “Student Ibrahim Mohsen Mabrouk.” faculties, and Professor Dr. Mohamad Abd Al Hamid Shehab, Secretary-General of the university. In his speech, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, welcomed the attendees to Damietta University, expressing his happiness at the University hosting the symposium activities and appreciating the efforts of the Popular and Military Defense Forces in supporting civil society, developing the spirit of loyalty and belonging among all segments of society, and carrying out its enlightening and awareness-raising role in light of what the state is facing. Egypt faces regional challenges intertwined with international events and escalating conflicts. The University President stressed that Damietta University seeks, in light of its national responsibility, to prepare a generation of young people who are aware of their responsibility and able to bear it by enhancing their capabilities by providing an enlightening and supportive university environment for innovation. He added that the unprecedented development that the Egyptian state is witnessing requires the joining forces of its children and youth to preserve what Achievements have been made to complete the construction process. They are the builders of the present and the beacons of the bright future. At the conclusion of his speech, the university president directed the students to be alert and not be led by the Egyptian state’s conspiracies and malicious rumors that destabilize its stability and national security in light of wars and the challenges it faces in light of technological development and the challenges of fourth and fifth generation wars. Then the student, “Hamid Hashem,” recited a patriotic poem entitled “Raise Your Brow,” which carries the highest meanings of pride and pride in belonging to the great Egyptian state. Then,  Dr. Essam Al-Roubi, one of the most senior scholars of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, gave a lecture entitled “The Greatness of Egypt in the Qur’an,” in which he talked about the spatial values ??in which God Almighty mentioned Egypt in more than one place, and its sacred position, as it is the cradle of messages and a safe haven for the prophets and messengers, Joseph and Jesus, and his mother, Mary, upon them. Peace be upon him, and he added that Egypt has a guarantee from God in terms of security and safety, as it is guarded by His protection and protected by His protection until God inherits the land and the meanings of that in the Holy Qur’an. God made the homes of the Egyptians a destination and a destination for His servants and blessed and blessed are its people until the Day of Judgment. Sheikh Essam Al-Roubi reviewed the history of the conflict on the blessed land of Egypt, since the battle of Ain Jalut against the Tatars, then the battle of Hattin, all the way to the battle of the 10th of Ramadan, the sixth of October, and the Egyptians confronted their enemies. Egypt is a sovereign state with a civilization capable of leading it forever, and it is the duty of its people to always make it above. It is the head and the eyes, and we must spend everything dear and precious in order to preserve it, and we must all unite to rebuild it and raise its leadership, for it is the proud, free, and generous Egypt that God Almighty has given the greatest refuge in the verses of the Holy Qur’an.
