On Saturday, August 9, 2025, Professor Hamdan Rabie El-Metwally, President of the University, welcomed Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, on the sidelines of his participation in the meeting of the Dean Selection Committee for the Faculty of Arts at Damietta University. The University President welcomed the Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, expressing the University's pride in cooperating with leading cultural and scientific institutions—foremost among them the Bibliotheca Alexandrina—given its pioneering role in promoting culture and knowledge and supporting scientific research. For his part, Dr. Ahmed Zayed expressed his pleasure at visiting Damietta University and participating in its academic activities, praising the university's progress in developing its infrastructure as well as its scientific and research projects.
