The University President honors two researchers from Libya.

                As part of Damietta University's commitment to supporting international students and encouraging academic and research excellence, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie El-Metwally, President of the University, honored two international researchers from Libya on Sunday, July 20, 2025, on their receiving their doctorate degrees from the university. The honorees included Dr. Mohamead Adam Mohamad Al-Mayar, who holds a PhD in Agricultural Sciences, specializing in Plant Protection, from the College of Agriculture, and Dr. Samia Salem Al-Naeely, who holds a PhD in Sciences, specializing in Zoology, from the College of Science. The ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Mohamad El-Bahnasawy, Director of the University's Expatriate Students Department, who noted that this meeting embodies the university's ongoing commitment to recognizing its outstanding students, particularly expatriates, who serve as bridges of scientific and cultural communication between Egypt and other  countries. During the meeting, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie El-Metwally, President of the University, expressed his pride in the distinguished academic achievements of the incoming students, emphasizing that Damietta University places great importance on providing an attractive educational and research environment, as well as distinguished academic and administrative services, reflecting its advanced academic standing. The university president explained that this honor comes within the context of the university's strategy to enhance international academic cooperation, support scientific research, and train distinguished personnel who effectively contribute to serving their communities and developing their fields of expertise. At the conclusion of the meeting, the two honored researchers expressed their deep gratitude to the university administration, headed by Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie, for the support and attention they received throughout their studies. They emphasized that their experience at Damietta University was a turning point in their academic and professional careers.
