Short-term grants program for technology transfer

      Launch of the Targeted Research Call in Collaboration with the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) in Dubna, Russia – Second Round of the Short-Term Visits Program for Technology Transfer

As part of the Third Executive Plan (2022–2026), the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) announces the opening of applications for targeted research visits to the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) in Dubna, Russia, within the second round of the short-term visits program (duration: 3 months) for young researchers holding a PhD and working in universities and research centers.

This program is part of the ongoing cooperation between the Academy and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in the Russian Federation. Notably, Egypt became the first Arab and African country to gain full membership in the institute in November 2021. The institute includes more than 1,200 researchers from 18 countries, including 1,000 PhD holders.

 Program Objectives:

  • Enable Egyptian researchers to develop their research capabilities
  • Provide hands-on training within the institute's laboratories
  • Enhance international collaboration opportunities with leading scientists
  • Contribute to the transfer and localization of modern technologies in Egypt

 The grant covers:

  • Travel tickets
  • Accommodation for three months
