President of Damietta University Congratulates the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Supreme Council of Universities on Obtaining International Compliance (ISO) Certificates
Prof. Dr. Hemdan Rabie El-Metwally, President of Damietta University, extended his sincere congratulations to Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Mostafa Refaat, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities, on the occasion of the Council obtaining international ISO compliance certificates. These include the Institutional Governance Certificate ISO 37000:2021 and the Knowledge Management System Certificate ISO 30401:2018, making it the first national entity in Egypt to receive this accreditation from the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC).
The President of Damietta University praised this remarkable achievement, which reflects the Supreme Council of Universities’ commitment to applying the latest standards of institutional quality. He affirmed that this international recognition represents an advanced step in supporting the development of the higher education and scientific research system in Egypt, in alignment with the goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030. He also emphasized that these certificates are a well-deserved acknowledgment of the efforts made by the Ministry and the Council in establishing principles of governance and enhancing institutional performance efficiency through modern methodologies.
In this context, the President of Damietta University valued the vital role played by the Supreme Council of Universities in supporting Egyptian universities and developing their operational systems. He noted that Damietta University is keen to align its strategic plans with the Council’s directions and is committed to adopting standards of quality and governance, contributing to the advancement of the educational and research processes and strengthening the university’s competitiveness at both the local and international levels.
