In the framework of cooperation between the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology and the Synchrotron-light for Experimental Science and Applications in the Middle East (SESAME), the Academy announces an opportunity for researchers and scientists from SESAME member countries to participate in the meetings of the German Physical Society (DPG) in March 2026.
Supported by the Wilhelm and Else Heraeus Foundation (WE-Heraeus Foundation), this initiative provides an excellent platform for presenting scientific research, networking with leaders in physics, and promoting international scientific exchange. The program offers special support for young researchers to participate in one of the largest physics conferences in Europe.
Three meetings covering different physics disciplines are scheduled for March 2026, with the first meeting taking place from
March 1 to March 6, 2026.
The fellowship is awarded to 25 early-career scientists (up to 8 years after obtaining a PhD) affiliated with scientific institutions in SESAME member countries. The fellowship includes:
- Conference registration fees
- Travel expenses
- Accommodation for researchers presenting scientific papers
Deadline for submission of application forms: November 1, 2025
