Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al?Metwally, President of Damietta University, attended today, Monday, March 2, 2026, the seminar titled “Economic Feasibility Study” at the Faculty of Commerce. The seminar was organized within the framework of the University’s Community Service and Environmental Development Sector initiative, under the patronage of the University President and the supervision of Professor Dr. Al?Metwally Mostafa Selim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, as part of implementing a series of specialized training courses across the university’s faculties.
The seminar was attended by Professor Dr. Al-Metwally Mostafa Selim; Professor Dr. Wael Abdel Wahab, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce; and Professor Dr. Lamia El?Selnety, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, along with a number of faculty members and students.
In his speech, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector in organizing such purposeful events. He also extended his thanks to the Vice President of the University and the Faculty of Commerce for their excellent organization and preparation.
The University President emphasized that economic feasibility studies are fundamental pillars for the success of any project, given their vital role in evaluating investment ideas, determining their feasibility, reducing risks, and maximizing opportunities for success.
He further highlighted Damietta University’s commitment to linking academic study with practical application through organizing seminars and workshops that help refine students’ skills and develop their capabilities in entrepreneurship and project management. This aligns with the state’s direction toward supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and achieving sustainable development goals. He also stressed the importance of benefiting from such events to build self-development and enhance personal and professional skills, thereby strengthening future opportunities for success and excellence.
For his part, Professor Dr. Al-Metwally Mostafa Selim affirmed that organizing this seminar comes in an integrated plan by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector aimed at spreading economic awareness among students and enhancing their understanding of feasibility study preparation, qualifying them for the labor market and enabling them to transform their ideas into successful projects.
The “Economic Feasibility Study” seminar at the Faculty of Commerce aimed to equip students with the essential knowledge and skills needed to prepare comprehensive feasibility studies for projects, enhance their analytical thinking and sound economic decision-making abilities, raise awareness of the importance of prior planning and risk reduction, and support their orientation toward entrepreneurship while increasing their readiness for the labor market.
