Announcement of Academic Scholarships (Master’s – PhD)
The General Administration of Postgraduate Studies and Research at the University announces the opening of applications for academic scholarships (master’s and PhD) at the University’s faculties for the academic year
2025/2026.

Application Period:
Applications for academic scholarships will be accepted at the relevant faculty from
Sunday, 21 December 2025, until Sunday, 4 January 2026.
Application Requirements:
In accordance with the conditions stipulated in Articles (18, 19, and 20) of the University’s Postgraduate Studies Regulations. These can be viewed by

Benefits of the Academic Scholarship:
- Full-time dedication to postgraduate studies at the University.
- The scholarship duration is two years for a master’s degree and
three years for a PhD degree. The scholarship for either degree may be extended for a final additional year, subject to the approval of the Council of Postgraduate Studies and Research.
- The scholarship period is counted as part of the service period for seniority or experience when calculating seniority or experience for appointments to university, governmental, or public sector positions.
- Scholarship students are treated the same as Teaching Assistants in terms of eligibility for enrollment, registration, and exemption from tuition fees when postgraduate registration opens at the University’s faculties.
- If the student has paid tuition fees, procedures will be taken to refund those fees if the student is awarded the academic scholarship during the same academic year.
