                The university president welcomed a delegation from the Mansoura Recruitment and Mobilization District to begin medical examinations for university students and people with disabilities from Damietta Governorate. Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, welcomed this morning, Wednesday, May 14, 2025, Brigadier General Staff/ Imad El-Din Mohamed Abdo, Deputy Director of the Mansoura Recruitment and Mobilization Zone, Colonel Doctor Ali Oraby, Head of the Medical Commission in the Mansoura Recruitment Zone, and members of the medical committee accompanying them , in the presence of Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdo Amasha, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, prior to the start of the work of the medical committee formed from the recruitment area, to conduct medical examinations on university students with disabilities, in addition to the sons of Damietta Governorate from outside the university. At the beginning of the meeting, the university president welcomed the dean and the accompanying delegation, expressing his pride in welcoming members of the armed forces to the university to perform their noble national mission. He expressed his appreciation for the significant impact this has had on facilitating the lives of students with disabilities and their families, and expressed his appreciation for the humanitarian and service role played by the armed forces in supporting this precious segment of the nation's citizens. For his part, Brigadier General Imad El-Din Mohamed Abdo expressed his happiness at being at Damietta University, noting that this mission comes within the framework of the directives of the political leadership, which places great importance on people with disabilities and works to provide them with support and facilitation in all sectors. The university president, Dean Professor Dr. Imad El-Din Mohamed Abdo, and members of the accompanying committee also participated in a meeting with applicants for medical examinations from people with disabilities. They welcomed them and emphasized the great appreciation that the university and the armed forces place on them, and their shared commitment to providing all necessary support. At the conclusion of the meeting, Professor Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally affirmed that Damietta University is always open to serve all citizens, stemming from its societal and humanitarian role in supporting the state's efforts to serve citizens, especially those with special needs.
