As part of Damietta University's commitment to promoting health awareness and providing medical care to its members, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie El-Metwally, President of the University, inaugurated the "Check Your Liver" campaign on Monday, July 28, 2025, organized by the Faculty of Medicine at the Faculty's Clinical Skills Laboratories. The campaign was held under the supervision of Professor Dr. Basem Salama Al-Deek, Dean of the Faculty, with the active participation of Professor Dr. Nasra Ayoub, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Professor Dr. Mohamed Abd Al Hamid, Professor of Hepatology and Gastroenterology. The campaign aims to detect liver, digestive, and general internal diseases early, and provide specialized medical consultations to university members, contributing to raising health awareness and preventing chronic diseases. The university president commended the College of Medicine's efforts in organizing such community initiatives, which reflect the vital role of the medical sector in serving the university community. He emphasized the importance of continuing to organize awareness and health campaigns that meet community needs and contribute to building a healthy and sound university community.
