The President of Damietta University Congratulates Student Mirna El-Tantawy on Winning Six Gold Medals at the Arab Weightlifting Championship in Qatar

Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie El-Metwally, President of Damietta University, extends his sincere congratulations and heartfelt pride to student Mirna Mohamed Ali El-Tantawy, a third-year student at the Faculty of Sports Sciences at the University, on the occasion of her distinguished sporting achievement. She won six gold medals (three in the junior category and three in the senior category) in the 53 kg weight class during her participation in the Arab Weightlifting Championship, which was held in the State of Qatar in December 2025.

The President of the University praised this major achievement, considering it a source of pride for Damietta University and for Egyptian sport, affirming that what the athlete has accomplished reflects a high level of excellence and seriousness in training, and embodies the University’s continuous support for talented students in various fields, especially the sports sector.

He also expressed his best wishes to student Mirna for continued success and excellence in her athletic and academic career, calling on her to continue giving and to raise the name of Damietta University and Egypt high at regional and international forums.
