As part of Damietta University's support for research excellence and the encouragement of applied scientific projects of an industrial and developmental nature, the University Council honored the research team at the Supercritical Fluids Laboratory during its session held today, Thursday, May 29, 2025, in appreciation of its outstanding efforts in implementing a distinguished research project entitled:
"Applications of Supercritical Fluids Technology in Textile Industry".
The project aims to explore and employ supercritical fluid technology in the fields of textile dyeing and finishing, and the extraction of natural dyes, contributing to enhancing innovation in the textile industry through the application of environmentally friendly and sustainable technologies.
The research team included a select group of faculty members and support staff from various university faculties, headed by:
Professor Dr. Mamdouh Soufan, Professor at the Faculty of Science, former President of Damietta University, and Director of the Research Project.
Professor Dr. Ghada El-Sayad, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts.
Dr. Hanan El-Sisi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Textile Printing, Dyeing, and Finishing, Faculty of Applied Arts.
Dr. Khaled Abdel Fattah, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Agriculture.
A number of supporting staff members also participated in the project implementation, including:

In an effort to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the project's accompanying activities, the university honored a group of students from the College of Applied Arts for their effective contribution to organizing the logistical aspects of the project's scientific workshop. This included preparing the exhibition halls and laboratories and providing technical supervision over the implementation of the workshops. They are:

The University Council also honored Professor Dr. Ghada Al-Sayad, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts, and the Print Portfolio creation team at the Faculty of Applied Arts, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Maysa Ahmed Al-Far, Head of the Department of Sculpture and Architectural Formation. The team included Dr. Salma Mohsen, Lecturer at the Faculty of Applied Arts, in appreciation of their contribution to designing and creating a distinguished Print Portfolio dedicated to the scientific research and personal creativity of faculty members. This honor affirms Damietta University's commitment to fostering a culture of collaborative scientific research and promoting the values ??of teamwork among researchers from various disciplines. This contributes to the development of academic and applied performance and supports the adoption of modern technology in creative industries, in line with sustainable development goals.
