Today, Sunday, April 21, 2024, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, welcomed a delegation from the Archdiocese Church in Damietta, headed by Father Murcos Mahrous Youssef, Secretary of the Damietta Archdiocese, Engineer Imad Adeeb, and Professor Maher William Aziz, to congratulate His Excellency on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. During the meeting, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally expressed his happiness with that visit, emphasizing the bonds of friendship of close cooperation and permanent communication with the Egyptian Church in order to preserve the Egyptian identity and the bond between the people of one nation and civil society. For its part, the delegation stressed the depth of the feelings of brotherhood between the two sides, which reflects the essence of the tolerant Egyptian spirit, the cohesion of which is attested by history, stressing that Egyptian holidays are for everyone. At the end of the meeting, Priest Murcos Mahrous Youssef presented an artistic painting to the university president entitled “The Icon of the Holy Family’s Escape to the Land of Egypt.”
