The University President attends a symposium on “Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Research”

        Today, May 7, 2024, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, witnessed a symposium organized by the College of Archeology under the title “Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Research” under the supervision of Dr. Youssr Ezz Al-Regal, Vice Dean of the College of Archeology for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs. The symposium activities began with the playing of the Republican Anthem, then  it was lectured by Professor Dr. Wael Abd Al-Kader, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence at the university. This came in the presence of Professor Dr. Ghada Al-Sayad, Dean of the College of Applied Arts and Professor Abdo Abaza, Vice Dean of the College of Antiquities for Education and Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Nabil Saeed Hamed, Vice Dean of the College of Antiquities for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Professor Dr. Mohamad Abd Al-Barr, Head of the Restoration and Maintenance Department, and Dr. Hanan Mohamad Rabie, a teacher in the Department of Egyptian Antiquities, and Dr. Ahmed Rushdi, a teacher in the Museums Department, and Professor Walid Al-Qala, the college’s secretary, and the supporting staff, graduate students, and undergraduate students at the college. The workshop included several topics on the classifications of artificial intelligence and its challenges, the applications of artificial intelligence and its role in scientific research, and the controls and ethics of using artificial intelligence. The future of scientific writing is intertwined with developments in artificial intelligence, as integrating artificial intelligence with scientific writing is an important opportunity to make a breakthrough in the field of scientific research. Through AI tools and algorithms that facilitate effective data analysis, review of research papers, and preparation of manuscripts, the accuracy and speed of research results can be greatly improved.
