Submitting proposals for mutual research projects with Hungary

Within the framework of activating the Scientific and Technological Cooperation Agreement between the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the Academy is pleased to announce the opening of applications for joint research proposals under the Mobility Projects program for the years 2026–2027. Accepted projects will be jointly funded in cooperation with the Hungarian side, in accordance with the following terms:

Fields of Application:
Applications are open in all fields of science.

24 months

?? Funding:
EGP 300,000 per year per project (from the Egyptian side)

Applications must be submitted online only through the following link:

?? Application Conditions:

Proposals are accepted in all fields of science.
The agreement is valid for 24 months. The Academy will fund each project with EGP 300,000 annually.
Interested researchers must register and submit electronically at: http://submission.asrt.sci.eg
No applications submitted outside this portal will be accepted.
The Egyptian Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-PI must belong to the same university or research institution. Other team members may belong to different institutions.
Both the Egyptian and Hungarian partners must submit the proposal simultaneously to their respective sides.
A letter of approval from the Egyptian research institution must be attached, as well as stamped first pages of the proposal from both the Egyptian and Hungarian sides.
Accredited private universities in Egypt are eligible to apply under the same terms as public universities.
