Damietta University has achieved a new accomplishment in its academic career. As it advanced in the US News World Rankings for 2025, It ranked 1,322nd globally, up from 1,408th in last year's ranking, thus achieving a jump of 86 places among global universities. On the African level, Damietta University ranked 66th among African universities, advancing 20 places from the previous year's ranking, when it ranked 86th, reflecting the remarkable development in its academic and research performance. The US News ranking is based on a number of indicators and criteria, including: the quality of education and scientific research, academic reputation, graduates' transition to the job market, as well as other indicators that reflect universities' academic and research performance. This significant progress reflects Damietta University's ongoing efforts to improve the quality of education, support scientific research, and develop academic programs, all within the framework of its ambitious vision to enhance its regional and international standing and effectively contribute to raising the level of higher education in Egypt and Africa. On this occasion, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie, President of the University, extends his thanks to Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdel Hamid Shehab, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, and extends his sincere congratulations to all those affiliated with the University in general, and to the employees of the College of Science and Agriculture in particular.
