Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie El-Metwally, President of Damietta University and Damietta National University, welcomed Professor Dr. Yahya Abdel-Azim El-Mashad, President of Delta University for Science and Technology, on Sunday, August 10, 2025, during his attendance at a doctoral thesis defense at the Faculty of Commerce.

Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie expressed his appreciation for the visit, noting that it reflects the spirit of cooperation and exchange of expertise between higher education institutions in Egypt, and highlighting the strong academic ties between the two universities.

He then accompanied his guest on an inspection tour of Damietta National University, which included classrooms and research laboratories, showcasing the latest equipment and facilities designed to keep pace with scientific and technological developments and to provide an integrated educational and research environment for students and faculty members.

At the conclusion of the tour, Professor Dr. Yahya Abdel-Azim El-Mashad praised the university’s advanced infrastructure and state-of-the-art facilities, describing it as a qualitative addition to Egypt’s higher education system and a distinguished model for preparing qualified academic cadres to serve society and the labor market.
