        Today, May 7, 2024, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, visited the Virgin Mary and Greek Orthodox churches in Damietta to offer congratulations on the occasion of the glorious Resurrection Day. He was accompanied by a delegation from the university that included Professor Dr. Mohamad Abdo Amasha, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, the deans of the university’s faculties, and Professor Dr. Mohamad Abd al-Hamid. Shehab, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Commerce for Student Education Affairs, Acting Secretary-General of the University, Professor Mohamed Refaat, General Director of Student Welfare, and a number of members of the administrative staff of the University’s General Administration, with the participation of a number of students from the Students for Egypt family who were keen to participate in offering congratulations in order to perpetuate the values ??of loving citizenship. The visit began at the Church of the Virgin Mary to offer congratulations, and the President of the University and the accompanying delegation were received by Father Markus Mahrous, Secretary of the Archdiocese, Father Mina Al-Hadidi, the Church Priest, and Professor Maher William, General Coordinator of Churches in Damietta Governorate. The President of the University and the accompanying delegation of the Greek Orthodox Church also went to offer congratulations and were  received by His Eminence Bishop Hisham Bendelmoun, Pastor of the Greek Orthodox Church in Damietta. The President of the University and the accompanying delegation offered congratulations on the occasion of the glorious Resurrection, expressing his overwhelming happiness with the participation of the Coptic brothers in celebrating their holidays, stressing the university’s keenness on this participation, which has become a binding habit and custom to confirm the feelings of brotherhood and harmony that characterize the fabric of the Egyptian people, pointing out that Egypt will always remain a home of security and safety. And stability and a fabric interconnected by the bonds of love and peace, with the unity and solidarity of its people under the wise leadership of His Excellency President Abd Al Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic. The President of the University also expressed his sincere wishes for continued progress in the comprehensive development that the Egyptian state is witnessing to build the new republic, which will be completed by the joining hands of its people and their unity that has been able to sacrifice. The visit concluded with singing performances by the student, Menna Kiwan, and reciting verses of poetry by the child, Arwa Badr, in an atmosphere filled with joy and happiness, celebrating the Eid and welcoming the university delegation.
