As part of Damietta University’s administration’s commitment to enhancing discipline and compliance across all its sectors, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, conducted a surprise visit this morning, Wednesday, December 4, 2025, to a number of the university’s faculties to follow up on the workflow and ensure the regularity of the educational and administrative processes.

The tour began with an inspection of the Faculty of Arts, where the University President stressed the necessity of carefully reviewing the attendance and departure system for employees to ensure full compliance with official working hours. He also inspected staff offices and various administrative departments, and directed that employees who were absent from their workplaces during working hours be referred for investigation, emphasizing that administrative discipline is a fundamental pillar for ensuring the quality of performance and the services provided to students.

The University President continued his tour by inspecting the Faculties of Medicine and Nursing, stressing the importance of daily monitoring of attendance records and activating internal control procedures to achieve discipline within the faculties. He pointed out that the university will not tolerate any negligence or unjustified absence, in order to ensure the regularity of work and improve performance efficiency.

Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie concluded his tour by affirming the continuation of surprise visits during the coming period, within the framework of the university’s policy aimed at raising the level of discipline and transparency across all faculties and administrative units, in support of the path of development and excellence that Damietta University seeks to achieve.
