Damietta University Wins Third Place in the “Made in Egypt (MIE2025)” Competition with ECONERV Team

       In a new milestone that highlights the innovation and technological excellence of its students, Damietta University, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie El-Metwally, President of the University, achieved third place in the prestigious “Made in Egypt (MIE2025)” competition, organized by the Egyptian-Chinese University.

The results were announced during the closing ceremony held on Saturday, August 2, 2025. Damietta University participated with several student teams representing the Faculties of Engineering and Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence, competing against numerous teams from Egyptian public, private, and non-governmental universities.

Among these, the ECONERV team from the Faculty of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence secured third place, ranking among the top three teams selected from a large number of participants.

On this occasion, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie El-Metwally extended his heartfelt congratulations to:

Dr. El-Metwally emphasized that this achievement reflects the university’s continuous efforts to promote academic and research excellence, and to encourage student participation in national and international competitions that foster creativity, innovation, and skill development.

It is worth noting that the "Made in Egypt" competition, organized annually since 2006 with support from the IEEE Young Professionals organization, aims to stimulate innovative ideas and promote technological advancement. The competition spans over three months and includes multiple stages leading to the final rounds.

This success reaffirms Damietta University's commitment to excellence in education, research, and entrepreneurship, and further consolidates its leading position among Egyptian universities in academic and innovation forums.
