The President of Damietta University welcomed the Vice President for Academic Affairs of Damietta National University as part of the preparations for the upcoming academic year.

On Monday, August 4, 2025, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie El-Metwally, President of both Damietta University and Damietta National University, received Professor Dr. Ramadan Abdel Hamid El-Tantawy, former President of Damietta University and current Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs of Damietta National University.

The meeting came within the framework of intensive preparations for the launch of studies at Damietta National University at the beginning of the 2025/2026 academic year. Discussions focused on developing executive mechanisms to organize the educational process and ensure high-quality academic performance in both classrooms and laboratories.

The agenda also included assessing the readiness of approved academic programs and reviewing proposals for the continuous development of curricula in alignment with national standards and the evolving needs of the labor market.

During the meeting, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie El-Metwally stressed the importance of collaboration among the university’s leadership and the need to develop a clear roadmap to ensure a strong start for the new university. He also expressed appreciation for Dr. Ramadan El-Tantawy’s valuable expertise and his distinguished contributions to Damietta University during his tenure as president.
