The University President Attends the Fourth Engineering Forum and the First International Forum at Mansoura National University.
Prof. Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of Damietta University, attended on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, the activities of the Fourth Engineering Forum and the First International Forum aimed at promoting innovation and linking education with industry, hosted by Mansoura National University. The forum runs over two days, April 15–16, with the participation of Delta region universities and representatives from the industrial sector.
The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdelazim, President of Mansoura National University; Prof. Dr. Moawad El-Khouli, President of New Mansoura University; Prof. Dr. Montaser Doweidar, President of Samannoud Technological University; and Prof. Dr. Zaki Zeidan, former Vice President of Mansoura University, along with deans and vice deans of engineering faculties in the Delta region, representatives of the Military Academy, and the heads of the Engineers Syndicate in Dakahlia and Damietta.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdelazim Confirmed that Mansoura National University follows a modern educational vision aligned with the Egyptian state's directions, focusing on preparing graduates capable of competing locally and internationally and keeping pace with future job requirements. He noted that the university adopts an ambitious strategic plan to become a leading beacon in the future of education in Egypt.
During his participation, Prof. Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally expressed his pleasure in attending this distinguished forum, emphasizing that such events represent an important step toward strengthening integration between academic institutions and the industrial sector. He added that linking education with practical application has become essential to preparing cadres capable of innovation and competition, highlighting Damietta University’s commitment to supporting joint cooperation with various universities and industrial institutions to develop the higher education system, achieve sustainable development, and serve the community.
The forum is considered a leading academic platform that brings together students, academics, and industry experts to connect theoretical study with practical application, showcase the latest developments in engineering and technology, and discuss labor market requirements through specialized scientific sessions and interactive activities.
The forum addresses several key themes, including linking engineering knowledge to real-world applications, artificial intelligence in water resource management and climate change, renewable energy and smart systems, environmental sustainability and digital transformation, the AI revolution in industry and future jobs, as well as smart cities and sustainable infrastructure.
At the conclusion of the event, Mansoura National University honored Prof. Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally with a commemorative shield in recognition of his prominent role in supporting the educational process and strengthening cooperation between universities.
