Damietta University achieved a new achievement in international rankings, as the university appeared in the 350-400 bracket in the world according to the Times World Classification of Young Universities THE: Young university Rankings 2024 . This classification includes universities that are less than 50 years old and show remarkable progress in the fields of scientific research, the economic return from it, the university’s income from the industrial sector, teaching, and international reputation within a relatively short period of time. Damietta University came in fourth place locally out of 28 Egyptian universities participating in the classification, of which 18 universities have a ranking and 10 other universities appeared in the Reporter. It is worth noting that this qualitative classification is based on the same indicators as the Times World University Rankings, but with an adjustment in the relative weights of each criterion. On this occasion, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, extends his sincere congratulations to all those affiliated with the University, and extends his thanks to the University’s Classifications Unit team, headed by Professor Dr. Amany Al-Desty, Director of the Classifications Unit, for the great effort being made in this file.
