          Damietta University President Welcomes Executive and Military Leaders.

Professor Dr. Hamdan Rabie El-Metwally, President of Damietta University, received this morning, Monday, August 18, 2025, a number of executive and military leaders in his office.

The visiting delegation included:

Major General Mohamed Hammam, Secretary-General of Damietta Governorate,

Major General Abdullah Ashour, former Assistant Secretary-General and current Secretary-General of Luxor Governorate,

Major General Staff Dr. Bahgat Farid, former Director of the National Defense College,

Brigadier General Staff Mohamed Saad, Assistant Commander for Military Advisors,

Brigadier General Staff Mohamed Tolba, Head of Planning and Training Branch for Popular Defense,

Brigadier General Staff Mohamed Khalifa, Military Advisor to Damietta Governorate,

Colonel Ibrahim Basla, Director of the Military Education Department at the University.

The visit came on the sidelines of their participation in the symposium organized by Damietta Governorate under the title “Cybersecurity – National Security”, hosted by Damietta University at the Grand Conference Hall “Farouk Shousha,” within the framework of the joint practical training for crisis and disaster management (Saqr 153), conducted by the Governorate in cooperation with the Armed Forces from August 17 to 19.

The meeting was also attended by Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdo Amasha, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs.

In his remarks, the University President welcomed the distinguished guests, affirming the deep cooperation between the University and various state institutions, and praising the significant role played by the Armed Forces in supporting development efforts and strengthening security in its various dimensions.
