Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie El-Metwally, President of the University, received in his office today, Thursday, June 19, 2025, Ms.  Naglaa Darwish, Head of the Damietta Nursing Syndicate. The meeting discussed ways of cooperation between the university and the Damietta Nursing Syndicate in the context of supporting the health and education system, and training nursing staff to meet the needs of the labor market and contribute to improving the level of healthcare services provided to the community, especially in light of the state's increasing interest in developing medical education and healthcare. During the meeting, the university president emphasized the university's commitment to supporting the union's efforts to train nursing staff and enhance students' skills in this vital sector. He noted that the university is always open to cooperation with various professional bodies and unions to serve the community and achieve sustainable development. For her part, the head of the Damietta Nursing Syndicate expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the university president for the warm welcome, commending the university's role in supporting the nursing sector and the College of Nursing's role in preparing academically and practically qualified personnel. She also emphasized the syndicate's aspiration to enhance cooperation with the university by organizing joint workshops and events that serve both nursing students and medical personnel.
