Damietta University continues its visits to Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357

                Within the framework of Damietta University’s social and humanitarian role, and in affirmation of its commitment to supporting national initiatives in the health sector, the Faculty of Agriculture at Damietta University, headed by Professor Dr. El-Metwally Mostafa Selim, Dean of the Faculty, organized a field visit to Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357. The visit was attended by a number of faculty members and students of the “For the Sake of Egypt” student family, with the aim of providing psychological and moral support to the sick children, as well as promoting a culture of volunteer work and national belonging among university students.

In this context, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie El-Metwally, President of Damietta University, emphasized that the university places great importance on fulfilling its social and humanitarian role alongside its academic and educational mission. He noted that supporting health institutions—foremost among them Hospital 57357—is a national and humanitarian duty that embodies the values of solidarity and social cohesion within Egyptian society. His Excellency added that the participation of faculty members and students in such visits contributes to instilling the principles of giving and volunteerism, and to raising students’ awareness of the importance of their role in serving the community. He also praised the great efforts exerted by the hospital’s staff in providing comprehensive medical care to children in accordance with the highest international medical standards.

The University President commended the role of the Faculty of Agriculture and its administration in organizing the visit, affirming Damietta University’s keenness to continue organizing such humanitarian initiatives and visits aimed at supporting the most vulnerable groups, and reflecting the university’s mission as an active academic, educational, and humanitarian institution within its surrounding community.

The visit concluded with the provision of moral support and symbolic gifts to the children, in a humanitarian atmosphere that reflected the spirit of cooperation and solidarity, and underscored the importance of uniting community efforts to support the national healthcare system.
