"The Continued Appearance of Damietta University in the QS Sustainability Ranking 2026 Globally"

           Damietta University continues to strengthen its international presence in the fields of sustainability, announcing its appearance for the second consecutive year in the QS Sustainability 2026 World Ranking, one of the most important global classifications that assess universities’ performance in supporting environmental and social issues as well as governance standards.

Damietta University ranked 1251 globally in the governance, social impact, and environmental impact indicators, reflecting its ongoing efforts to achieve balance between its educational and research roles and its community service mission, in addition to its commitment to applying best institutional practices.

The QS Sustainability Ranking is based on three main pillars:

Environmental Impact

Social Impact

Governance

It also includes several sub-indicators that measure the extent of universities’ contributions to supporting communities and the impact of their academic and research activities on environmental and social issues worldwide.

Damietta University achieved notable distinction in the Knowledge Exchange indicator, where it ranked 996 globally, in addition to ranking 1251 globally in Educational Impact, and 1501 globally among 2000 universities included in this year’s ranking. This confirms the university’s active participation in international efforts aimed at achieving positive and sustainable change through scientific research, teaching, and community initiatives.

In this context, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of Damietta University, expressed his pride in the university’s continued appearance in the QS Sustainability 2026 Ranking, affirming that this achievement reflects the great efforts exerted by the university to promote sustainability principles on campus and across all educational and research processes. He also extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to the International Ranking Team at the university, led by Professor Dr. Amany ElDiasty , head of the International Rankings and Research Unit , for  great effort done in this file.He added that the university is moving forward with the implementation of its comprehensive plan to support sustainability, governance, and community engagement, contributing to the improvement of its international ranking and strengthening its role in community service. He emphasized that this achievement serves as a strong incentive for continued excellence and innovation across all sectors.
