Congratulations on the occasion of the National Day of Damietta Governorate

The President of the University 08.05.2023 14609

Professor Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour, President of the University, extends his congratulations to the security, executive, and popular leaders in Damietta Governorate, to the people of Damietta Governorate, and to the university family, on the occasion of Damietta Governorate's celebrations of its national day, which falls on May 8 of each year. Where Damietta was the first wall against colonial invasions and settlement campaigns, and the ancestors showed heroic epics, including the epic of capturing the invading King Louis IX in Faraskur, the epic that the people sang in the Damietta folklore. Patriotism and heroism are from the ancestors, so great leaders emerged from among the people of Damietta Governorate who worked in the Armed Forces and the Interior and continued to present immortal epics in defending the soil of the homeland, just as the hero Refaat El-Gammal, one of the icons of the Egyptian intelligence, who has the glorious national record, emerged from her loins. Congratulations to Damietta Governorate for its honorable national record in confronting the Crusades and other waves of settler and colonial invasion in its various forms. It is truly a record of the ancestors of which the grandchildren of Damietta’s youth are proud, and a respectable model of patriotism before which the sons of the new generation stand with appreciation and pride. Long live a free and proud Egypt. God guarded its soldiers who were vigilant to protect its soil, its borders, and its wealth, which God gave to it.
