Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, and the leadership of Professor Dr. Wael Farouk Al-Taybani, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Mohamad Ismail Abu Dobara, Dean of the College of Science, the third participation of students from the distinguished program (Biotechnology - Department of Botany and Microbiology - College of Science) took place in the competition. The Tenth National Biotechnology (SOLE-Season 10) Pioneers in the Application of Science in Egypt, held at Helwan University on Friday, February 9, 2024. The team representing Damietta University won three places in three different competitive competitions out of seventeen Egyptian universities represented by either faculties of biotechnology, scientific departments, or existing programs.

In addition to the competitions, there were many lectures and seminars in the fields of biotechnology and the related labor market, and many companies interested in the field of biotechnology, which students participated in attending. The students demonstrated honorable representation, a decent appearance, high competitiveness, and comprehensive knowledge in their field of specialization, which reflects the quality of the university’s biotechnology program curricula and the efforts made to reach this distinguished level. The number of students attending the program included 42 students, and the team participating in the competition was composed of twenty-two students under the supervision of Professor Dr. Ahmed Kasim Al-Sayed. In this regard, Professor Dr. President of the University extends his sincere congratulations to the winning students, wishing them more excellence and other future achievements.
