In light of Damietta University’s interest in improving the health and safety of the University members, and based on the goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030 to enhance the quality of life, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie El-Metwally, President of the University, inaugurated today, Wednesday, July 9, 2025, the activities of the medical campaign “Your Health Matters to Us” organized by the Faculty of Medicine at the University. Under the supervision of a select group of faculty leaders, including Professor Dr. Basem Salama Al-Deek, Dean of the Faculty; Professor Dr. Hamza Mohamed Kabil, Advisor to the University President for Medical Affairs and former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; and Professor Dr. Nasra Naeem Ayoub, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. The campaign was held in the Clinical Skills Lab on the second floor of the College of Medicine, starting at 10:00 a.m. and continuing until 2:00 p.m., attracting a large turnout of faculty members, staff, and students. The campaign included free medical examinations and consultations in a number of vital specialties, including internal medicine, cardiology, chest medicine, gastroenterology, diabetes, and neurology, with the participation of a distinguished group of professors and doctors from the university's College of Medicine. During the opening ceremony, the university president emphasized that Damietta University places great importance on the health of its members and is committed to organizing regular health and awareness events. He noted that this campaign is part of the university's plan to support public health and enhance medical awareness, especially in light of contemporary health challenges. He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to all those in charge of the College of Medicine who contributed to the organization and success of the campaign, stressing the university's continued support for initiatives that serve both the university community and the local community. It's worth noting that the "Your Health Matters" campaign is part of a series of community activities organized by the Faculty of Medicine at Damietta University, as part of its mission to enhance its role in serving the community and developing the environment, in addition to its academic and scientific role.
