President of Damietta University Congratulates Damietta Governor and Deputy on Assuming Their New Positions

Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie El-Metwally, President of Damietta University, paid a visit on Wednesday, 18 February 2026, to the headquarters of Damietta Governorate to extend his congratulations to Professor Dr. Hossam El-Din Abu Seif on assuming his duties as Governor of Damietta, and to Dr. Mohamed Fawzy on assuming his duties as Deputy Governor.

During the visit, the University President affirmed the strong ties between Damietta University and the Governorate, expressing his sincere wishes for their success in their new roles. He emphasized the importance of fruitful cooperation between the University and the Governorate across all developmental and service fields.

For his part, Professor Dr. Hossam El-Din Abu Seif expressed his appreciation to the University President for the visit, stressing his commitment to strengthening cooperation frameworks with Damietta University to achieve the best educational and service outcomes for the benefit of the Governorate’s residents.
