       President of the University Inspects the University Career Development Center to Follow Up on the “Be Ready” Initiative for Nursing Students

Prof. Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of Damietta University, conducted an inspection visit on Monday, March 30, 2026, to the University Career Development Center (UCCD), as part of his commitment to following up on training activities that contribute to preparing students for the labor market. During the visit, he reviewed the activities of the “Be Ready” initiative, which is dedicated to students of the Faculty of Nursing.

During his tour, the University President examined the content of the training programs offered the initiative, which aim to develop students’ professional and personal skills in line with the requirements of the healthcare labor market. He also engaged directly with students and listened to their feedback regarding the benefits they gained from the initiative.

Prof. Dr. Hemdan Rabie emphasized that the nursing sector is one of the most vital fields experiencing increasing demand both locally and internationally. He noted that the opportunities available for nursing graduates are broad and diverse, which requires students to be well-prepared and equipped with the necessary skills to excel in this field.

He also stressed the importance of continuous skills development, explaining that possessing both personal and technical skills has become essential for success in the labor market, especially in light of the rapid developments in the healthcare sector. He affirmed that learning does not stop at academic study but extends to building capabilities and refining expertise.

He further pointed out that the “Be Ready” initiative comes within the framework of the university’s vision to prepare qualified graduates capable of competing effectively. The initiative aims to equip students practically and efficiently, ensuring their readiness to enter the labor market with confidence and competence.

At the end of the visit, Prof. Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally expressed his pride in the students of the Faculty of Nursing and their commitment to developing their skills. He reaffirmed Damietta University’s continued support for training initiatives that contribute to building qualified youth capable of meeting labor market needs and contributing to the development of the healthcare system.
