Damietta University got one of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology Initiative projects, and the project which submitted by prof. Dr / Tarek M. Abou El-Maati – the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and his team has been winning With funding of 2000,000 (two million pounds) will be disbursed to the university under the schedule and the work plan which were submitted, as the agreement implementation period is (24 months), entitled "an environmental study of manufacturing and preparing the cellulosic fabrics with  antibacterial dispersant active dyes".

        prof.Dr. / Mamdouh Neamat Allah -the acting president of the university signed the project contract this Monday morning, 10.10.2016 with the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, and also was signed by prof.Dr. / Tarek M. Abou El-Maati – the Vice-President for Education & student affairs as the chairman of the team work and the proposal which has been approved by the competent evaluating committees.

        The signing of the agreement within the framework of the university's cooperation with various scientific institutions to consolidate and strengthen the university scientific research, and from the role of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology in the care of the technological development issue in Egypt and to link between research and development society on one hand and between production and services society on the other hand.
