The University President witnesses the activities of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority initiative

              Today, March 5, 2024, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, witnessed the activities of the introductory symposium organized by the University in cooperation with the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to raise awareness of the most important issues related to communications and information technology and introduce the device’s initiatives, user rights, digital services, advanced technology, and cybersecurity. This symposium came in light of the device’s initiative, which is consistent with the pioneering role played by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to implement its future vision in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 to enhance digital awareness among all members of the higher education system, including faculty members, administrators, and students, to qualify and enable cadres to deal safely with... The symposium activities included the presence of Ms. Dina Kabil, Director General of the Awareness Department of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, and lectures were attended by Mr. Sameh Saeed, Director of the Consumer Rights Protection Department, Mr. Ahmed Shawqi, Director of the Complaints Department, Eng. Abd Al Rahman Al-Bakri, Director of the Infrastructure Insurance Department, and Eng. Mustafa Al-Banna, Director of the Electronic Payments Department. Introducing the National Telecommunications Authority and explaining the stages of its development, its role, services and initiatives, the rights of users of communications technology, mechanisms for submitting user complaints from telecommunications companies, and introducing electronic wallets, their most important features, the best ways to use them, cybersecurity, ways to protect data and information on the Internet, and how to deal with them in a safe manner. The symposium was attended by Professor Dr. Hatem Idris, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, Professor Dr. Mohamad Amasha, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Mohamad Abd Al Hamid Shehab, Secretary-General of the University, and a group of deans of colleges, their deputies, faculty members, and the university’s administrative staff. During his speech, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, stressed the importance of the symposium’s topic, which is consistent with the university’s pioneering role and its keenness to serve the student and the surrounding community and prepare a graduate who is aware of his rights and duties and is able to confront the challenges of the modern era and the digital revolution, enabling him to create the future.
