10 scientists from Damietta University are on Stanford’s list of the top 2% of scientists in the world

                       The emergence of 10 scientists from Damietta University in various scientific fields, according to a study by Stanford University, which announced a list of the names of “the best 2% of the world’s scientists for their total scientific production and reference citations for their scientific research.” This list is issued by the Elsevier Foundation, and includes more than 210,000 scientists from 167 countries around the world. Scientists are classified in 22 scientific fields, divided into 176 specializations based on the Scopus database. Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of Damietta, congratulates the university’s prominent scholars whose names were included in Stanford’s list of the top 2% of world scientists, wishing them further success and progress during their academic career. They are as follows according to the international order of their supremacy in the lists:

Professor Dr. Ahmed Abd Al-Ghany Owais, Computer Department - Artificial Intelligence field.

Professor Dr. Imad Al-Saeed, Faculty of Engineering - Energy field.

Professor  Dr. Ashraf Al-Bandariy Faculty of Science, field of chemical physics.

Professor  Dr. Abd Al-Gawad Rady, Faculty of Science, field of analytical chemistry.

Professor  Dr. Adel Zaki Al-Sunbaty, Faculty of Science, field of chemical physics.

Professor  Dr. Ahmed Talaat Sahloul, Faculty of Specific Education, field of artificial intelligence.

Professor  Dr. Hamdy Zidan (may God have mercy on him), Faculty of Science, field of polymers.

Professor Dr. Tarek Mohamad Abu Al-Maati (may God have mercy on him), College of Applied Arts, field of polymers.

Professor  Dr. Mustafa Diab, Faculty of Science, field of polymers.

Professor Dr. Nasra Ayoub, Faculty of Medicine, General Medicine.

The appearance of 10 scientists from the university on Stanford’s lists - compared to 4 scientists last year - indicates the quality of the research outputs of the university’s employees. It also reflects the extent of the effort exerted by faculty members in the recent period to advance scientific research and increase the number of research published in prestigious scientific journals listed in the databases. Global data, as a result of the support the university provides to researchers to achieve quality scientific research outputs. The University's International Classification and Publishing Unit, headed by Dr. Amany Al-Diasty, also appeals to all researchers affiliated with Damietta University to set the name of the institution to which the researcher belongs on their pages on the Scopus database so that it is the name of the university, Damietta University, and not the name of the college or scientific department.
